Xeroderma pigmentosum
Definition
Die Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) ist eine seltene Genodermatose, die durch eine extreme Empfindlichkeit gegenüber durch ultravioletten (UV) Strahlung verursachte Veränderungen der Haut und der Augen sowie durch multiple Hautkrebserkrankungen gekennzeichnet ist. Sie wird je nach betroffenem Gen in acht Komplementationsgruppen eingeteilt: XPA bis XPG und XP-Variante (XPV). Der Schweregrad der klinischen Manifestationen und das Alter bei Krankheitsbeginn sind äußerst variabel und hängen zum Teil von der Exposition gegenüber Sonnenlicht sowie der Komplementationsgruppe ab.
