Definition
Hierbei handelt es sich um eine nicht näher bezeichnete entzündliche Erkrankung der Atemwege, die durch variable und wiederkehrende Symptome, reversible Atemwegsobstruktion und Bronchospasmus gekennzeichnet ist und die mit einer akuten Exazerbation des Asthmas einhergeht, die nicht auf die Standardbehandlung mit inhalativen Bronchodilatatoren und Steroiden anspricht.
