Definition Idiopathic chronic eosinophilic pneumonia (pneumonitis) is a pulmonary disease characterised by subacute or chronic respiratory and general symptoms, alveolar and/or blood eosinophilia, and peripheral pulmonary infiltrates on chest imaging and blood eosinophilia in most cases.
