Definition
Die juvenile idiopathische Polyarthritis ist eine Form der juvenilen idiopathischen Arthritis (JIA), die in den ersten sechs Monaten nach ihrem Auftreten fünf oder mehr Gelenke betrifft. Häufig sind die gleichen Gelenke auf beiden Seiten des Körpers betroffen. Sie ist häufiger bei Mädchen anzutreffen.
