Burn arising during procedure, as mode of injury or harm
Definition
Damage to tissues resulting from heat, electricity or fire. Heat can be intended but excessive. For example, if a warming blanket malfunctions. Electrical burns occur when equipment malfunctions or it is used inappropriately. Fire can occur when combustible material ignites.
