Haematemesis

Definition

Haematemesis is blood in the vomit. Vomiting blood is a regurgitation of blood through the upper gastrointestinal tract. The upper gastrointestinal tract includes the stomach, mouth, throat, esophagus, and the first part of the small intestine.
