Congenital subglottic stenosis
Definition A condition caused by failure of the tracheal rings to correctly develop during the antenatal period. This condition is characterised by inspiratory stridor. This condition may also present with shortness of breath, difficulty feeding, or failure to thrive. Confirmation is through observation of the stenosis by flexible laryngoscopy.
