Diverticulum of bladder

Definition

A condition characterized by balloon-like growths on the bladder commonly associated with a chronic outflow obstruction usually found in pairs on opposite sides of the bladder that may lead to infection, rupture, or even cancer.

• Congenital diverticulum of urinary bladder (LB31.4)
• Hutch-diverticulum (LB31.4)
• Urachal diverticulum (LB03.0)
