Kissing spine, also known as Baastrup disease or Interspinous ligament syndrome, is a condition where adjacent spinous processes of the vertebrae come into contact due to degeneration or strain of the interspinous ligaments. This contact can lead to inflammation, pain, and other symptoms in the lower back.
