Spider telangiectasis
Definition A benign vascular ectasia consisting of a central dilated terminal arteriole from which radiate several ectatic capillaries, giving rise to a spider-like appearance. They occur most commonly on the upper trunk and proximal upper limbs. Large numbers may develop in association with pregnancy or liver disease.
