Drug-induced oesophagitis
Definition This refers to a drug-induced inflammation of the oesophagus. Medications can induce oesophageal abnormalities via both systemic effects and by causing direct oesophageal mucosal injury, so-called ‘pill-induced’ oesophagitis.
