Rickettioses or Rickettsial infections, are a closely related group of bacterial infections causing clinically similar diseases characterized by fever, rash and vasculitis which can be associated to multi-organ involvement such as hepatosplenomegaly, heart failure, renal failure, bleeding and neurological complications.
