Definition
This category contains Atrioventricular block and left bundle branch block. AV Block is an impairment of the conduction between the atria and ventricles of the heart due to AV node dysfunction. Left bundle branch block (LBBB) is a cardiac conduction abnormality in which activation of the left ventricle is delayed. The two ventricles no longer receive the electrical impulse simultaneously and the left ventricle contracts later than the right ventricle.
