Meningitis due to Haemophilus influenzae

Definition

This is an infectious disease caused by the inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord known as the meninges. It develops in response to a bacterial infection of the cerebrospinal fluid by Haemophilus influenzae.
