A symptomatic form of amoebiasis (E. histolytica infection) characterized by abdominal cramping, diarrhea, fatigue, excessive flatus, tenesmus, unintentional weight loss and, in more severe forms, bloody stools, abdominal tenderness, fever and vomiting.
